What it does
eSign runs entirely in-house — no DocuSign, no eSignatures.io, no per-document fees. Documents are authored in HTML (a template or AI draft), rendered to PDF via self-hosted Gotenberg, and presented to the signer with a typed-name acceptance flow.
The signer flow is a magic link — no account creation required. Click the link, see the document, type your name, click sign. The signed PDF is regenerated with the typed name overlaid on the signature line and stored in tenant R2.
Audit logging is automatic. The platform records signer email, IP, user agent, timestamp, and the exact text the signer accepted. Stored on the document record for compliance + dispute defense.
Magic-link delivery means you can send a contract via email and the signer is one click from signing — no password setup, no account creation. Workflows can fire the send + the post-sign onboarding sequence automatically.
